Been ordering through Uber eats for maybe the past 8-10 years lol. Never been to the location but the fish and chips always fresh, crispy, hot, real authentic fish and chips! best fish and chips around toronto and has been around for extremely long for a reason

Peak fish n chips in the GTA. If you need to have fish n chips, choose st Andrews. Authentic Scottish dining experience. I chose to eat the Haddock n Chips based on the server's recommendation and got a side of gravy. This was all A Haddock n Chips was exactly as it would be in the UK. The gravy was deep and rich. The fried were definitely home made. The condiments were high quality. The fish of all was chunky and fishy, and the batter was crunchy and golden. Everything here tastes home made. This is the real deal. The portion was huge and I had no room for other menu items. The menu features other authentic Scottish items like pies. There are also some original items like scallops n chips. Great ambiance. The place is tidy, unpretentious, and humble. It has a retro feel to it, and it shows that one or a few persons take pride in this place; I can tell this from the decor on the wall reflecting the owner's personal interest and from his presence on social media. Service was excellent. The server was prompt, courteous, and regularly checked up on my dining experience. I liked the informative wall decor giving glimpses of Scottish culture. Totally enjoyed this place; it is the benchmark for fish n chips.

After a indepth discussion about Fish and Chips in Toronto there was a general consensus to attend St.Andrew's Fish & Chips. We order the Haddock & Chips and the Cod/ Scallop and Shrimp platter with a side of Mushy Peas & Steak and Kidney pie (not shown). Service was perfect and staff was friendly; I am glad this place survived the pandemic. Keep up the good work. 8.1/ 10

I went here today for lunch. Placed a phone order for pick up. Very friendly staff and service over the phone and in person. I had the Halibut Fish and Chips and it was phenomenal. They gave me extra ketchup too which is a bonus. Definitely will be back when I’m in the area. I would give it 10/10 if I could highly recommended

I've always wanted to try this fish and chips place for years. I decided to come by on Good Friday for lunch. The place was quite busy and I understand why. Got haddock and chips and cod fish chips dinners. Well I can say WoW. The haddock was very tasty and the batter had a nice crisp to it. The cod fish was also very good, nice and fresh. I will definitely be back to try other fish on the menu and it won't take me years next time.

My photo does not do any justice to how generous their portion sizes are. This has been a true gem in our neighbourhood. And our go-to for the past decade for true fish and chips. Their batter is so spot-on, crunchy and so satisfying. And their chips are hefty chips, soft inside and nice and crunchy on the outside. We always order the haddock and chips and the clam chowder. Take out also because we live close by. Even if we have it delivered, it still comes as good as if we ate there. Always worth our money.

Their portion sizes are reasonable, as are their prices. 2025 update: St Andrew’s fish and chips is still great. I love their haddock. Can’t go wrong here.

My wife and I decided to come and give St. Andrews a try. We both had never been here before, but we both love fish and chips and we knew of them by the reputation from others in the Scarborough area. Everyone had always said great things about their food, so we made the trip and we were not disappointed that we did. This place is set up in a very smart fashion. I was impressed by the simple set up of a takeout window on your way into the restaurant. This is not a common thing anymore and works well for pickups by food delivery companies and call ins or if you just want to get it on the go. The interior was nicely done and felt comfortable, with staff being very friendly and welcoming. We both ordered Halibut and Chips as that is our favorite and they did a great job with it. The fish was cooked perfectly and was very tender with the batter crispy and fried just right. The chips were fresh cut which is a huge plus, as a lot of places just don’t take the time to do this and the difference is night and day. The whole meal hit the spot and both of us felt completely satisfied by what we just ate. This place totally lives up to the hype and we both would recommend to anyone looking for great fish and chips, to swing by and give them a try..... You won’t be disappointed you did. We will definitely be back.
